The SODIUM-HF Trial: Study of Dietary Intervention Under 100 MMOL in Heart Failure
The SODIUM-HF study aimed to evaluate the effect of a low-sodium diet compared to usual care on outcomes for patients with heart failure (HF), regardless of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Although the low-sodium diet did not reduce clinical events, it resulted in a significant improvement in quality of life for patients, particularly in terms of NYHA Class and KCCQ scores.
