Ambassador: Dr. Frank Weigel
Dr. Frank Weigel (@FabFrankDO) is a Cardiovascular Medicine fellow at The Ohio State University. He grew up in southern New Jersey before attending medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus. He then completed both his internal medicine training and chief resident year at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. His current career interests include cardiovascular prevention, multimodal imaging, clinical outcomes research, and medical education. Outside of work, Frank enjoys golfing, Philadelphia and Penn State sports, exploring restaurants and traveling with his fiancé, and playing with his two miniature dachshund puppies (Gerald and Norman).

The CardioNerds Ambassadors are fellows nominated by CardioNerds fellowships to represent education at their program. They are an esteemed group of highly motivated individuals with a passion for education. The goal is to both:
- Ensure representation on the platform from their programs
- Foster their individual personal & professional development
The CardioNerds Healy Honor Roll is named after Dr. Bernadine Patricia Healy, a CardioNerd Hero who was the first female director of the National Institutes of Health and accomplished incredible achievements during her career.
