Ambassador: Dr. Merna Hussien
Merna Hussien is a cardiology fellow at Georgetown Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. She earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar and then completed internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her passion for cardiology and in particular advanced heart failure grew from the rich clinical exposure at both institutions. She is an International medical graduate who looks forward to assisting others navigating different medical systems.

The CardioNerds Ambassadors are fellows nominated by CardioNerds fellowships to represent education at their program. They are an esteemed group of highly motivated individuals with a passion for education. The goal is to both:
- Ensure representation on the platform from their programs
- Foster their individual personal & professional development
The CardioNerds Healy Honor Roll is named after Dr. Bernadine Patricia Healy, a CardioNerd Hero who was the first female director of the National Institutes of Health and accomplished incredible achievements during her career.
